Welcome to Lace Avenue Hair! These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using laceavenuehair.com and buying from us. Lace Avenue Hair is owned and operated by Joshua Auguste, a sole proprietor based in Chicago, Illinois, USA ("we," "us," or "our").

By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using Our Site

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. If you're younger, you may use the site only with a parent or guardian's involvement.
Please give us accurate, complete information when you order.
You agree not to:
Use the site for anything illegal or fraudulent
Interfere with the site's security or operation
Copy, scrape, or reuse our content without permission
Place orders for resale without our written approval
We may refuse service, cancel orders, or block access to anyone who breaks these Terms.

Product Information

We work hard to describe and show our products accurately. Please keep in mind:

Natural hair varies. Human hair is a natural product. Color, texture, curl pattern, shine, and thickness can vary slightly from bundle to bundle, batch to batch, and from the photos shown.
Screens differ. Colors may look different depending on your device, screen settings, and lighting.
Lace color may vary and may need tinting or customizing to match your skin tone.
Lengths are approximate. Curly and wavy hair will look shorter than its stretched length.
Density and cap sizes are approximate.
Results with installation, styling, coloring, and wear depend on many things outside our control, like how the hair is cared for and the products used.

These natural variations are not considered defects.

Pricing and Errors

All prices are in U.S. dollars (USD).
Prices and availability can change at any time without notice.
Sales tax is added at checkout where required.
Sometimes a price, description, or availability error happens. If that occurs, we may correct the error and cancel or update your order, even after you've placed it. If we cancel, we'll refund any amount you paid.

Orders: Acceptance and Cancellation

Your order confirmation email means we received your order. It doesn't mean we've accepted it yet.
We accept your order when it ships.
We may limit quantities or refuse or cancel any order, for example because of stock issues, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel, you'll get a full refund.
Canceling by you: You can cancel within 48 hours of ordering, if it hasn't shipped. Custom, colored, or styled orders can't be canceled once work has started.

Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.
By paying, you confirm you're authorized to use that payment method.
Payment is charged when you place your order.
We may verify orders and may cancel orders that look fraudulent.

Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

Shipping is covered by our Shipping Policy. Returns, exchanges, and refunds are covered by our Return & Refund Policy. In short: returns are accepted only for unopened items in their original package with seals intact, within 30 days of delivery. Opened items are final sale, except for damaged, defective, or wrong items reported within 48 hours of delivery. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand your order to the carrier.

Intellectual Property

Everything on our site, including our name, logo, photos, videos, product descriptions, and design, belongs to Lace Avenue Hair or our licensors and is protected by law.
You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Reviews, Photos, and User Content

We love seeing your installs! If you send us or post reviews, photos, videos, or comments ("User Content"):

You confirm it's yours and doesn't break anyone else's rights.
You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, edit, and share your User Content on our site, social media, and marketing.
If you tag us on social media, we may ask for permission before reposting.
Reviews should be honest and based on your real experience.
We may remove User Content that is offensive, false, illegal, or off-topic. We won't remove or hide reviews just because they're negative.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

Our site and products are provided "as is" and "as available."
We make no warranties beyond those stated in our policies, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We don't guarantee how long hair will last, as this depends on care, styling, and use.
Allergies and sensitivities: Please patch test adhesives, edge control, and other accessories before full use and read all product labels. Stop use if irritation occurs.
We don't guarantee the site will always be available, error-free, or secure.

Some states don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, such as lost profits or salon/stylist fees, arising from your use of our site or products.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product that caused the claim.

Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lace Avenue Hair and its owner from any claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable attorney's fees) that come from your misuse of the site or products, your User Content, or your breaking these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless the law requires otherwise.

Other Terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver.
These Terms and our linked policies are the full agreement between you and us about using the site.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Orders placed before a change are governed by the Terms in effect when you ordered.
